The Fifth Bundanoon DanceFest to be held at Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands of NSW from June 7th to 10th, is in advanced planning.
Accommodation is going to be tight this year as the Youth Hostel is not available. (We have an arranged turn and turn about with another group who also regularly book it fully.)
The callers for this year include some new faces:
Emily-Rose Sarkova and Tangalo(Tango), Cathy Richmond (Her Selection), Keith Wood (Modern Contra), Sandra Martens (Beginner Quadrilles), and Stephen Loftus (Dances for Threes)
as well as many of our familiar friends from the past:
Don Richmond, Daryl & Di Powell, John Short, Arthur Kingsland, Norm Ellis, Peter Ellis, Heather Clarke, John Garden, Paul Carr, Tony Northey, Colin Towns, Margaret & Bill Winnett, Jim Williams, Bruce Lemin, Madis and Tiina Alvre, and Sally Leslie.
All music is live and available as downloads from this site prior to the weekend. Musicians are welcome to join in, with the workshops providing the opportunity to further rehearse the music under the direction of the lead musician.
Tickets can be securely purchased in advance through the PayPal gateway using either a credit card or a PayPal account.
The Bundanoon DanceFest is a weekend of social dancing. The central tenor of activities is one of participation and sharing. Workshops are run through the day and partially reprised at an evening dance. This format provides for intermingling of the various streams of social dance types in a community setting.
